Trust Women

22 Jan

Today is the 37th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  NARAL is celebrating with the fifth annual Blog for Choice.

In honor of Dr. George Tiller, who often wore a button that simply read, “Trust Women,”

All pro-choice bloggers are asked to say what “Trust Women” means to them.

To me, to trust women is to trust their decisions are right for them at the time.  To not judge based on my experiences or values.  It is not my place, their family’s place, or the government’s place to overrule that trust.

The right to choose seems to be threatened every day.  But seeing the support for this day makes me hopeful.
